We are heartbroken for your family. Our prayer is that God's healing hand will ease the pain, as well as the knowledge that Clint touched many lives during his short time in his earthly life. We are certain he will continue to touch lives positively even in death. We love you and lift up prayers for all of you. His work is finished, and our hope is to join him in heaven when our work is done.

I had Clint, as did several men at the Smart Road Congregation, as a student in the Wednesday evening Bible class during the summer months. Clint frequently had keen insight into the scriptures. We always pushed each other towards greater knowledge and understanding of God's word.
I always enjoyed keeping tabs on him during his first year at Rolla. In fact, we were discussing his fall semester's schedule two days prior to his passing.
Yet in spite of our collective sorrow, we can praise God whom I am supremely confident has already said to Clint, "Well done thou good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Lord." See ya later Clint.

Clint was a memorable student in every way. Because he presented such extraordinary oral presentations during his junior year in my English class, I asked him to demonstrate a presentation to my junior classes during his senior year. He did so graciously and was an exemplary role model. I will always remember his intelligence, his amazing vocabulary, and his rich and resonant voice. Please accept my sincere sympathy for your tragic loss.

Dear Sparks family

The first day I met Clint was on a wendnesday night at church I sat next to him in the bible class that we were in and the teacher (who is the pulpit preacher) made a statement on some thing and clint called him out on it and was right! Thats when I knew clint was a strong christian man.So I talked with him that night after class and we imediately became friends. Every time I talked to Clint he always had something wise to say and was always fun to be around. Clint was the only christian friend I have ever had that has challenged me in my faith and is still challenging me today.I just hope you know you raised Clint right and he is one of the best examples of how a young christian man should be.Clint was four years older than I am and Lord willing when I am nineteen I hope I can be like clint to some fifteen year old boy somewhere. You where great parents to clint I know that because he talked of you highly.Clint is in Heaven and is with the Lord right now waiting for us to finish our race here on this earth.God bless you for all of your hard work.Clint finished his race and know has the reward of being with GOD in heaven he has a mansion a robe and a crown. I am deeply saddend and can't imagian the sorrow and hurt that you feel but Clint would want us to be happy for him right now.Clint was like a brother to me and I am saddend to lose him phisically but I am exited to meet him again someday soon in heaven.

Dearest Brother, and Sister in Christ,
From the moment we met Clint we knew what a beautiful spirit he had. He had such a wonderful way about him. Out going, engaging, and so fun to be with.
We met Clint while he was here in Rolla, and enjoyed having him in our home. He spoke like so few do. He had the zealousness of a disciple, the ability to tenderly express God's word in engaging ways, and challenged the comfort zone to grow in understanding, and encouraged application. Our conversatins with him were always centerd around what mattered most to him, the bible. What a heavy heart we have, and send our deepest regrests. Still in shock, Clint in his passing has reminded us of all of the things we take for granted. He has also left us speachless in a good way, as we question one another in this family of eight. What mark have we made on life to impact the Kingdom of Heaven like Clint did? The answers are all the same. We want to be like Clint and accomplish much in a short period of time. Not for our own selfishness, but for the exact reasons that Clint lived his life.... For the Glory of the Father, for the love of our Savior, and for the lost who need our example.
Our Father who art in Heaven has called His wonder Saint home to be in glory. You did such a wonderful job raising Clint. May the Holy Spirit guide you, and in your greatest times of weakness may you remember that the Lord is our Shepherd, and we shall not be in want.
May God bless you, and may the sweet words that all have shared about Clint sustain you.
Love and prayers,

Dear Rick and Lynn, My family and I are so sorry for your loss. We worshiped with Clint at the 63 South congregation in Rolla. We were very impressed with his knowledge of the scriptures and his overall maturity. There was one time that I can remember he was asked to head the table at a moments notice and gave the most eloquent and touching talk that I had heard in a while. I had actually declined because I hadn't had time to prepare anything. His example inspired me to increase my knowledge and study harder.

I attended a funeral yesterday in the same funeral home as your son's. I never had the joy of knowing your son but I can tell how many friends and loved ones he had by the amount of people that were there yesterday to pay their respects. God bless your family; he sounds like he was a wonderful young man.

Dear Rick and Lynn,

I know their are no words that I can say to take away your pain. I search for something in my heart to share to inspire you both, yet it weeps for you. So I ask God in prayer to send the Holy Spirit to comfort your hearts, mind and spirit knowing that our God understands you first hand as he lost his only son on the cross. He feels your pain and he wants you to know that a mansion was built for your son far above all, that we can only imagine. Clint is in the arms of Jesus and his first father in heaven who needed his saint to come home.

My Love To You All,

Dear Sparks family,
It was such a wonderful privilege, joy, and blessing to have Clint as a brother and friend while he worshiped with us at 63 S. Church of Christ. The devotion and fire that he had for the Lord was truly astounding and is a great example for me and all who knew him. He will be in our memories and I look forward to that sweet day when we will all meet again to live together with our Lord forever.

Dear Wonderful Sparks Family--

We are so very sorry for your tremendous loss. We are members of the Lord's Body that were blessed to have worshiped with Brother Clint at the 63 South Church in Rolla, MO. There are no words we can use to properly express our sympathy. It was a great gift to have been on the receiving end of some of Brother Clint's Bible knowledge and wisdom. He was truly a beautiful Saint. Thank you for teaching Clint about the Lord. It is because of your example and love that Clint is with the Lord now.

You have our most heart felt love.

Dear Rick, Lynn, and Family,

What can we add to what has been said by others? Our hearts ache for you. But, the comforting thing is that Clint was a Christian and the remarks we have read show that he was a great example of what the Lord wants us to be as we walk upon His footstool. We know that the Lord will not give us more than we can bear, but sometimes the tests seem very difficult. We cannot get you off our minds, but know that the strength from God and the love of the brotherhood reaching out to you at this time in sympathy and prayers will see you through this stressful time. Words come so hard--we wish we were there to give you a hug. Our love and prayers, Richard and Jeannie Owens

Dear Lynn and Rick, I am grieved for your personal loss and for all of ours as well. The one sermon I heard given by Clint was encouraging and powerful, a sample to me of his commitment & faith. I agree, most importantly, he was an active member of the Smart Rd COC and was working hard in Midwest Churches.
