Shutterfly Share Site

I made a Shutterfly Share Site, where I'm slowly putting many photos (and some video) of Clint.

Facebook is nice for seeing photos, but I thought in some ways this would perhaps work better for finding, sorting and keeping them together.

I'm hoping that it will also allow friends to post photos/video as well, but I'm not sure exactly how that works yet, so we'll see how it goes.  If you're familiar with this and have tips feel free to share.

If anyone wants to help with info about any of the photos -- when/where, what was going on, etc. --that would be great.

I fiddled with the cover photos way too much before deciding that it's impossible to choose just a few photos for that, so... maybe I'll change them at intervals.

Slideshow Update

The slideshow is available once again.  It can be viewed under the "Slideshow" tab.  If you have a slower connection you might have to wait a bit for it to load.  If it doesn't work for you on the page, try the link to YouTube below, and if that still doesn't work please leave a comment on this post.  Thanks.  And thank you as well for all your continued love and prayers.

Poem

This is an untitled poem Clint wrote, which he posted to his Facebook account on December 11, 2008.  It was read to the hundreds who gathered to remember his life on July 24, 2010.

Cradle not your crystal ego,
still the cog and snatch the wheel,
beds of dirt are all that we know,
save that 'neath death's reign we kneel.

Tremble in the winds of bombast,
tossing futures to and fro,
weaving, ripping cloth of autumn,
all seasons towards winter flow.

Waver not as onward you go,
drifting on the waves of time,
songs of love are all that we know,
feel their rhythm, taste their rhyme.

Close a grip upon the wind now,
never hesitate, oh no,
to latch onto any chance to,
let your perseverance show.

Wonder not how time and chaos,
all their symphonies compose,
you would never cease to wonder,
till you fell to death's repose.

Cry out loud with voice of thunder!
Serenade the stars on high!
Let not any aspiration,
yet without fulfillment die.

Lift your soul in jubilation,
live--for every raindrop holds,
in its tiny, perfect globule,
all the beauty of a rose.

Silence floats upon the surface,
as a fog or mist it blows,
swirling evermore around us,
here and now are all we know.

Hope in all her rueful grandeur,
looks down on the earth and knows,
that there are still many waiting,
many people, high and low.

On the peaks and in the gutters,
people sigh but dare to hope,
that the flowing, fleeting moments,
bring them ever closer home.

Faith and love are all that we know,
through our works our faith we show,
if the will of God we do here,
home to Heaven, we may go.

Slideshow

Here are links to the slideshow and music that were shown at the gathering to remember Clint held at Murray Road Church of Christ on July 24, 2010 (same day as the celebration/funeral).  Right now, I think the slideshow video can only be viewed if you have a Facebook account and are logged into it.  That may or may not change later, we'll see. Thanks for this, Samantha.

His heart was healed, but he was torn from ours.

We will always remember....
We will bear a scar from this gaping hole he left behind.

Lord, You are faithful....
Heal again.

"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful" (Hebrews 10:23).
